Lamb of God have officially confirmed the title and track listing of their forthcoming sixth studio album. The album will be named “Resolution” and is scheduled for release on January 24th 2012.
Somewhat strangely, at least one track on the album is set to feature a choir and orchestra. Drummer Chris Adler told Gun Shy Assassin, “Yeah — there’s opera singers, a whole symphony going on — it’s crazy,” … “We were trying to figure out how to not be black metal but do something totally different. I think we succeeded.”
The official website has been updated with a 30 second snippet of a track plus a countdown which at the time of writing show’s a disappointingly far away sounding 84 days.
Personally, I’m well chuffed as I’m a massive Lamb of God fan. In fact, keep an eye on Musicscramble in the next week for my LoG ‘Box Set’ retrospective piece.
